Annual Fundraiser Tuesday, November 17, 6:00 pm -- Online via Zoom
We are very excited that Nujeen Mustafa will join us remotely to share her compelling story.
Nujeen is a Kurdish Syrian refugee and activist with cerebral palsy. She was raised in Kobane, Syria, and gained attention after traveling 3,500 miles by wheelchair, fleeing the Syrian conflict and resettling in Germany. Check out one of her Ted Talks, I Am Not a Number: A Refugee’s Tale, and My Journey from Syria to Germany in a Wheelchair. Or read her book: Nujeen: One Girl’s Incredible Journey from War-Torn Syria in a Wheelchair.
The evening will feature music, a report of the work the Coalition is doing, an uplifting message from Nujeen, and a box of delicious appetizers from Eugene’s own Party Downtown delivered to the first 50 ticket purchasers!
